A couple of options I can think of: 1, Use CurveMultiTube Brush - let's you lay down several curves, each of which can be adjusted until you delete the curves. 2. Use ZSpheres to define a curve path, then use Stroke:Curves Helper to create a curve. If you need to edit then adjust the ZSphere chain and repeat.
Zbrush feels almost feature complete, really, with the amount of tools that it has that give you various kinds of fundamental control over shapes and surfaces. Something like ZRemesher or Sculptris Pro were game changers for 3d sculpting, but the Gravity Bridge brush feels more like something you might just download for free from the Download ...You can hit the R button on the tool palette which reads "restore configuration". This will clear your tool palette of everything but the active subtool and the defaults. So just click something like the polymesh 3d tool or whatever before you do this and all subtools will vanish. Append a plane3d to your main subtool. Line it up to the bottom of the area where you want it to be flat. Keep it a separate subtool for now. Now under zplugin you'll find Intersection Masker plugin. Click that and you'll get a mask where the two subtools meet. Ok, under polygroups menu make a polygroup out of that mask.

So it’s far easier to find open positions if you know it. Blender is gaining quite a bit of space in the 3D industry, but not for sculpting specifically. You might be able to get a 3D-artist-who-might-sculpt-from-time-to-time kinda a job, but not something specialized. I don’t think Nomad is a thing at all in studios.

Just wanted to add I've been using Zbrush on my Mac Mini 16gb ram for a few weeks with 0 issues. UE4 had some issues but Unity runs fine. Haven't tried Maya but Blender works great. Check the unify button in scale master. It'll set the internal size for sculpting and set the export settings too achieve the physical size you want on export. When you leave edit mode the model on screen gets converted into pixols. It's no longer a 3d model at that point, which is why you were not able to enter edit mode. You can hit Ctrl+N to clear the document of those pixols, redraw the tool onto the document again, and then re-enter edit mode. If you hit shift-s it creates a image of the model ...
