Looking to get a gun for carrying while hiking and fishing, using at the range, and home defense. I am wondering if the 5.74 inch of the sfx pro might be a little too long to be carrying around. Also wondering if the reliability of the rival might be better because of the non exposed barrel at the front?

The Mete SFT Pro series is available with a 5.00” barrel. It features an aggressively cut slide that not only adds style but also makes the platform much more easily manipulated. Another noticeable upgrade is the chrome plated, fluted, ½ x 28 threaded barrel. Next is the world famous Canik trigger now available in a polymer 90 degree break. The height is the major difference. I own the SF and SFX (a longer slide version of the SFT) and can say the shorter frame makes a huge difference (imo) if you're looking to carry. The SF also has a 15 round magazine, whereas all the other current METEs are 18 round (SF can still use 18 round magazines). Reply.
