Imo termite chest is best all around defensive piece. Dust cloud lowers enemy attack speed and damage. It is also top tier defense wise, comparible to best medium armor with only light armor Stam reduction. There isn't really a BEST weapon in the game, they're all dependant on the chore at hand.
