Check. First check voltage at battery should be at leat 14vdc at idle. If you don't have that then check stator. With meter on ohms unplug stator with bike off fuse removed. Across terminals you should have reading. From each plug to ground you should have 0 ohms. With bike running meter on AC you should have voltage.
