Magus builds pathfinder 2e.
Monk magus is already strong (well monk anything is strong) due to the sheer defensive power monk offers as a base class. When making a Spellstrike, the character can activate a Monk ability with a cost of one action that also requires/utilizes a Strike. This Strike starts at the second Multiple Attack Penalty.

There's a pretty decent chance we're getting something along the lines of a Staff Magus as a feat-line or subclass option which will open up a lot of options for building. There's a level 8 magus feat called Spell Swipe that allows you to use it on two foes in melee. The big benefits of Imaginary Weapon amped is that it scales absolutely ridiculously. 1d8 for a 1st level cantrip, and when amped every spell level increase it gains increases the damage by 2d8 instead of just 1d8.2 - Not really. But if you plan on being in melee spend your lvl 2 class feat on sentinel. Heavy armor is insanely good on magus since you can dump dex with bulwark. 3 - True Strike is always good.
