I challenge anyone to produce a 39a, with the brass insert grip cap, that has a serial number prefix other than an "H". Also the white buttplate spacer wasn't added until 1951 either. There was an insert, in the 1952 catalog, dated 3/52 that said the program was stopped. I found my scan of it. It's hard to read, but you get the idea.
