Peltier marble identification.
Here is my thoughts to this and use it as you may. The Pelt "Cross Thru" examples i feel are early in production. (Guessing) they were before the "Sunsets". After all cheaper marbles need to be made for company higher profits. "Cross Thru"---a clear transparent base (some could be colored) with a cross thru internal + look with all colors …
At first I thought these were foreign... but now I'm seeing more images of the novas and am wondering if these or at least some of these are Peltier? All are about 5/8 inch and opaque. Collectible Cat eyes are usually by Marble King or Vitro. The collectable Cat Eyes usually have aventurine or hybrids, or four colors, large size, or certain number of vanes. Dave, this is a (prime) example of a Peltier that is a tad bit harder to find. This has the inner/outer composition of a beautiful green family type probably being an earlier type of a possible NLR. When Peltier played with this (green) color, you may find MANY shades and concentrations of this in lots of family types. Chuck G---.
Location:North Central Illinois. Posted January 24, 2011. The one just posted by marblemiser is a sub IMO. The base blue can vary from extremely dark like the one Galen posted and the one I have to a more medium color. Some also seem to be more dense and stringy than others, letting less light through.

I have seen far to many Peltier marbles get sold or id'ed as Peltier Citrus when in fact they aren't close to a real Peltier Citrus. In my opinion, you muddy the water and dilute the concentrate of a Citrus marble (pun intended) when you try sticking other mibs in with them..

The name was changed to the Peltier Glass Company in 1919. The company is located in Ottawa, Illinois, and no longer produces marbles. Peltier began making marbles around 1927.
