Ram ecodiesel forum.
I asked this in the ecodiesel forum also but I thought I would put it here also. The Jeep Grand Cherokee has the same engine, I believe. There are not nearly as many blown, damaged engines in the JGC. We hear stories of dealers saying stay away from the ram ecodiesel, we have a dozen in the back waiting for engines, etc. Not so with the JGC.
Feb 2, 2023. #1. Good day, A FASS kit was installed on 2016 RAM EcoDiesel and it never worked properly. FASS did replace the electric motor on the FASS pump. Now the CP4 injection pump is suspect for failure. There are no codes associated. The high pressure pump is not producing pressure, via a Snap On scan tool.The current recall is only for Ram 1500's with the Ecodiesel. The Jeep GC Ecodiesels are not part of it. Same EGR cooler, same engine - does not make a lot of sense that they are not part of the recall. Those engines aren't like the Cummins, they aren't built as strongly and aren't nearly as durable as a result. Hard to just dump it with a 24k loan on it. The Ecodiesel gets off the line much quicker towing our camper than my 2500 with 6.4 Hemi did. Overall towing with the Ecodiesel is a much more pleasant experience. Apr 17, 2021 · Buy a quick release oil drain valve. It is quick, easy, and clean to drain the oil. No need to jack the truck up as there is plenty of room to slide yourself under the truck. Easiest oil change vehicle I have ever owned. Just make sure to keep all receipts and take photos of the receipts and the dash as well for warranty purposes.

Jan 20, 2021 · The emissions are 100% covered under the extended warrantee which I confirmed before I purchased. The 8 speed trans on these is smooth as silk and is paired nicely with the 3.0L. 70 mph is roughly 2000 rpm in high gear. I highly recommend it in a light use 1/2 ton.
