Just to add the local bus L1 is free. Fuengirola tends to be mainly older people. There are a few bars where younger ones congregate. If you are happy with beach in the day and restaurants/bars at night you may enjoy it. Benalmadena will have more people in your age group, it covers a fair area on different levels. Best to ask on that forum for more info. Trains do run on Christmas Day, to Sunday times, i.e. every 40 minutes before 0920 then every 20 minutes until around 2200 then every half hour. We have not been charged any other amount since our return. 1. Re: Good pubs. This hotel is well away from Torremolinos Centre. It's in the Los Alamos area right opposite the beach. Lots of beach bars and chiringuitos in this area. Some of the beach bars open till early morning with music.
