I hope one of you fine folks have a suggestion or two for me. I was given a cub cadet ltx1050 tractor with a sv730 Kohler engine. Its 4 years old and has 82 hours on it. A head gasket was blown, so I replace them both. The mower sat for one season. Prior to and post repair, the engine revs up and down at an idle. On WOT, seems to run smooth.Is the small engine in your power equipment surging up and down? Dealer says it is normal, I say bull. I have an older hp, same machine with 1300 hrs. and no issues. If I disconnect the IAC it runs almost right. Put in new IAC and still surges. Will surge up to about 1500 then down very low. It gets lower and lower each time till it dies. It will start right back up. If parked with nose downhill surge is worse. Park uphill and it idles fine. Put in new fuel filter and cleaned TB.
