The Scan Visor cursor returns from Corruption but is very different in appearance. The Visor HUD does not display all the visors and beams collected, it only shows the one in current use. During the opening of the game, when Samus jumps off her ship, flames from her boosters can be seen, as well as the sound of them going off.
The reason why the thermal visor changed for the remaster is because the thermal visor used a very unique hardware preset in the Gamecube that isnt available in modern hardware so they had to change it which is why it has a motion blur on it and doesnt have the detail of the original.
