BlindSquantch. I'm in act 3 on my paladin dark urge run and just barely broke my oath it wasn't too hard to keep Oath of Vengeance going until that point. A lot of the choices in act 3 have major implications no matter which choice you go with so for me I chose to break my oath at that point.

Larian probably just forgot the line of code that switches them from being "good" to "evil," basically. Oathbreaking is goofy. You should break your oath when you break the tenants of said oath but when the game is wonky. You are not allowed to go back on your word as OaD. Be super careful with committing to anything.
