Re: CETME C - thoughts on first build? The receiver blanks can be hard to get some times. You have to bend and weld it and modify the trigger group and some other parts. You should have access to a press and a welder capable of welding sheet metal for the receiver and barrel.

While de milling my kit I accidentally cut into the the top part of the cocking tube extension and while removing the welds with a chisel deformed it a bit so the top of the bolt carrier will not slide into the cocking tube. The only material keeping it on is on the bottom.

CETME C shares most parts with a G3. I've only ever done AK's but a press and toth tool rivet jaws along with the AK builder rivet jig, front trunnion drilling jig, trunnion support, and trigger guard support will get you through a build with a pre bent 80%. My first build was an RPK with the Toth tools as well.
