Duramax p0090.
Jun 24, 2012 · The truck showed a p0090 fuel pressure reg code. I tried replacing the mid harness and replacing the fuel pressure regulator. Truck starts up and sounds like its knocking then alms down a bit and sounds like a lb7 but fuel rail pressure stays around 20-23k there is no demand for it as the truck is idling. It's in limp at 2k hits a rev limiter.

Or maybe you've got a wiring problem. try turning the key on, then off, leave the key off, wait about 4-5 minutes then with key off try to pull code, if it dont work turn key on pull and clear code then urn off and re start... It also requires ECM programming to deal with the DTC’s associated with removal of the EGR motor. Essentially an EGR delete removes the EGR valve/motor assembly along with the EGR cooler etc.This harness chaffing could cause shorting of any number of circuits to ground. The dealer replaced the battery and even though the P0091 code remained, no other instances of the truck dying happened.

Everything before the CP3 (high pressure fuel pump) is under vacuum pressure. So, just like a straw with a crack in it will suck air bubbles, your fuel lines with a leak somewhere will suck air. The air bubbles can cause a p0093 or p0087.
