I have a gen 1 ruger American predator and it is a decent rifle for what it is, but it feels like junk compared to a tikka as mentioned feeding, bolt smoothness, trigger, barrel and even stock heavily favor tikka.

So I posted on here about how it's hard find a precision rifle right now. I've found some sources of places to buy. The Bergara is definitely easier to find, but I would be able to buy the Tikka. I also know I want .308 to start. 6.5 creedmoor is better aerodynamically, but .308 is ubiquitous and cheap to find.

Problems officially solved/concluded. Called up GrabAGun to see about switching my order up and they offered me the Tikka T3 Tac A1 in 6.5 for $1500 out the door including the shipping. It is no more or less cheapish than any other rifle Both are good, it depends on which traits are more important to you I wouldn't pick a Remington over either the Ruger or Tikka at 1/2 the price. The tikka is better over all. You can get a full howa set up for under 300. A base tikka will run 500-600. I don’t think the tikka is 2x as good as howa but not everything in life is linear, you pay more of a premium for better stuff.

The 6.5 tikka barrels are slow but accurate as hell and thats what matters. The 5R 20” will have a little more weight to tame recoil.
