I also find using dimensioning to be better in Revit. archicads ability to draw and snap to things in 3D is amazing. Revit families are better than archicads library parts. Revit is a great tool for CDs. I use it for residential CDs every day. There are 2 pricing models that freelance drafters use. by square footage or hourly. The hourly price in my area is about ~$65/hour. Square footage is ~$1.00/sqft.
