You take mushrooms when you need healing đđź. I think it depends on the reason you want to take them. I take them mainly for personal/spiritual growth and take them 2-4 times per year. Any more than that, I feel I don't benefit from them. I find the more time in between trips, the more beneficial.

If you have eaten within a few hours before dosing, food can slow the onset of effects. But if you're tripping balls, like level 4 or 5 trip every 2 weeks I'd say you should probably take a break.
