I am afraid to try to start the engine if I have the belt keeper installed incorrectly. OK, I have solved my problem, so for the record, the belt keeper rod must fit in the one of the 2 slots on the clutch assembly. I should have recognized this as the clutch assembly can not turn or it would break the wire that activates the clutch.Step 1 - Prepare the mower for deck belt replacement.
