I really want to play TOTK on the steam deck. I find the device way more comfortable to hold than the switch. What are the odds of performance improvements happening to get a 30 FPS play through?
Pretty much stock for me with unsafe cpu. Use the dynamic FPS mod and 30fps static. TOTK v1.1 Mainline 1428 - Steam Deck. Performance is hovering between 20-30fps, boots without launch mod, just played up through 1st shrine and I've had zero graphical artifacts, pretty much perfect graphically so far. The only change I did was using the 30fps mod instead of the 60fps one. I don't quite think the Deck is able to push anything above 30fps really. I strongly recommend against using Yuzu EA releases as they tend to break performance every now and then. Mainline is perfectly fine these days. Now using these mods . And now with the higher resolution, you can turn Anti-Aliasing off, and use Docked Mode. I get 25-35 on average in open areas, and 40-50 in Shrines. Though I cap the Deck performance settings to 40/40. The intro works great in that cave fine on both, but once the open world is opened, it's a mess on Windows Deck yet much better on SteamOS.
