They are only double the full point never the half and if you use PPTO to cover the full portion of the shift you miss then you get no points. You don’t need to use double the PPTO. If you leave before half your shift is up you'd get 1 point (that's if you don't use PPTO.) If you leave early when you've worked 4 hours (half of an 8 hour shift) then you'd get 0.5 of a point.
