Miller Infiniti in Van Nuys has contacted the "helpline" to no avail. They are now talking about replacing the alternator, but they really have no idea what is going on with the car. So replacing the alternator could be of no help. Jon Jon Member. I have the same issue in my 2008. It will get stuck at about 65 mph when I am going 80. It will just randomly correct itself, then drop back down to 65. Also, it will sometimes stay at 20 mph when come to a complete stop. Once I start accelerating, the speed will go up from 20 mph. It is pretty annoying.

I would suggest you check your wheel balance, especially you have new tires. Balancing should be done when you replace tires. If you hear rumbling noise especially at high speed it will be quite possible, it is your wheel balance. If you feel your car wobbling, I would suggest you check your tie rods or wheel alignment.

I have a 2003 FX45 and was having the same problems. I researched the problem and determined that it was a part called the AC Amplifier that went bad. It is a common starter problem for the FX.
