Steam deck fedex.

After submitting a BB complaint against FedEx, a customer service complaint, and several trace team/QA agents the only thing I gained was a headache. At least I know how to complain correctly if they mysteriously lose the replacement Steam Deck -- Hoping I hear something from Valve sooner than later. Its been about a week now. These steam decks can be sold for double their MSRP right now. Valve should have been smarter and shipped it in a package with no identifying markers. Wow, that's disheartening. Especially if FedEx is violating their own policies. I've heard that FedEx uses 3rd party contractors for the actual delivery. Hello all, I'm looking for some help here, today I spoke with FedEx regarding the Steam Deck I ordered which was in shipment only to be told as some point during transit it was opened and the contents were removed, leaving behind a package with no contents. Showed up on time though, just as the estimated delivery said. Wow okay, my steam deck was suppose to arrive yesterday so I took the day off to tinker with it but got delayed.. it hasn’t even made it to my state yet.. just says “In Transit, Arriving late” it’s been in the same facility for 3 days before it departed in Atlanta.

When Valve showed off the box originally, people on the Steam Deck discord said "they'll have an outer box for shipping." Once devs started getting theirs, there was no indication of an outer shipping box. It's poor strategy that reeks of "We are not confident in our product enough to go into mass production", and if you care about the future of the Deck, or a potential Deck V2, you should wish upon a star that they market it to non-steam users, otherwise it's gonna go the same way as the Steam Controller, except the Deck didn't deserve that.

I think it would be better, if possible of course, that Valve "codes" their Steam Deck shipment and notify the customer of the coded name, for example: Someone orders Steam Deck and it gets shipped as "Stack of Wipes#35" Someone else orders it and it's coded as "500GB Hard Drive"... FedEx's shoddy delivery and poor oversight of packages in transit is inexcusable. Steam shouldn't have to eat the costs of FedEx incompetence.
