One good way is to get to Iron Keep organically (that is to say not speedrunning and not farming) and then pop on the Agape Ring if you find yourself getting action. Dranglaeic Castle is also a good place. If your Soul Memory is higher you need to try the tougher DLC bosses. The Sunlight Medal method is pretty efficient tho - it should not take longer than 4 hours to get all 30 medals. If you have full Discory Gear (Symbol of Avarice, Prisoner Tatters, Golden Serpent Ring +2, Watchdragon Pharma) then there should be a medal like every 8 min or so. r/DarkSouls2.
