Aug 25, 2023 · Second one purchased and both of them had parts fall out. First one the blades would not spin so it was useless right iud of the box. Second one worked great for about 30 minutes and a belt fell out and could not be used anymore. Called toro and all they said was that there were no recalls, sorry. 2 idler pulleys fail, as one failed it came off and damaged the brake arm pad and damaged the blade engagement belt. Sharp blades help greatly, the high lift blades did not. Toro 42" timecutter blades won't disengage. Exactly what the title says... the safety shutoff still works, when the switch is in the "engage" position, the mower shuts off if i get off the seat. Back story, I have a used (no sure how old) time master that has been working great. Ive had it for close to 6 months and one day out of the blue I started losing power when mowing, release the blade engagement and the motor goes back to normal. Engage the blades and the motor slowed to a crawl and stopped. This was in “normal” length grass.
