A million has suddenly become 200K. So having an exit plan and being able to take/store profits somehow is a good idea, this applies to 1x also but more so with 3x.

I created a synthetic TQQQ from Nasdaq and backtested it with $10,000 going back to 1986. Even with insane drawdowns from dot com bubble, still had 16.4% CAGR so not bad really. Personally I like to use TQQQ and TECL by buying on 30%+ drawdowns. A max drawdown of 99.49%, holy fuck.
