I think ditch hunters can get a bad rap because it gives the impression of being lazy. And ditch hunting is very illegal when after big game like deer but people still do it illegally. I have a new A5 SweetSixteen and also a Citori White Lightning in 16 ga. Great pair of shotguns. A few years ago I bought a grandson a Stevens 555E in 20 ga. It's a nice gun but it's no Browning. I guess it probably depends on your budget but I recommend one of the 16 ga. Citori's.

Easiest pheasant hunt I ever had was early season birds on state ground in a park like setting. There were young trees about 15 feet high planted every 50 feet.
