The XDM slide is too narrow to low mount the RMR with the mounting lugs. The RMR can handle the cycling of the slide, and even if you mount it on the slide, it takes some practice to find the dot. I have a springer precision trigger in the 4.5 frame and since it was fitted to my 4.5 slide, it is not as good of a trigger with a different slide. That would be my only caution.
