Here's my advice/ what I think helped me: Show interest in the school and why you like the school. If the school emails you asking you if you are interested in the waitlist, respond to it with yes AND why you like the school. Keep calling the front office until you get a person!

Really depends on the school. School's below the T14 might send you decisions within 2-3 weeks. Top schools will likely take 2-6 months to get back to you, maybe longer.
